01Agreement and eligibility

By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms for yourself and, where applicable, the organisation you represent. You must be at least 18 and authorised to act for that organisation.

02The service

FoodSafe Formulate provides product development records, calculations, workflow tools and AI-assisted drafting. Features may change as guidance, technology and the service develop.

03Your responsibilities

You remain responsible for the accuracy of source data, the suitability of controls, final labels, product safety and compliance with law.

• Maintain accurate ingredients, quantities and supplier evidence
• Use qualified laboratories or advisers where appropriate
• Review all calculations and AI drafts before approval or use
• Protect account credentials and assign permissions carefully

04Important regulatory limitation

The service is decision support, not legal advice, laboratory analysis, local-authority approval or formal compliance certification. It does not replace professional judgement or checking current official guidance.

05AI-generated material

AI-generated content may be incomplete or inaccurate. It is clearly treated as a draft and must not be relied on without competent human review. You must not use AI features to create unlawful, misleading or unsupported claims.

06Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us the limited rights needed to host, process, back up and display it to authorised users and to provide requested features. You confirm you have the right to submit that content.

07Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with security, upload malicious material, scrape the service, or use it to infringe rights or break the law.

08Availability and liability

We aim to provide a reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every output will be error-free. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, the service is provided for business use and indirect or consequential losses are excluded to the extent permitted by law.

09Suspension, termination and law

We may suspend access to protect users, investigate misuse or comply with law. You may stop using the service at any time. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, whose courts have jurisdiction, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.

Formal notices under these terms must be sent by email to the legal address above and, where a response is required, we will reply within 14 days.
